Take It In

James, the half-brother of Jesus, provides practical wisdom for living well in a noisy world. He teaches us to be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger as signs of spiritual maturity. True listening requires humility and recognizing we don't have all the answers. We should listen to each other, godly leaders, and most importantly, to God through Scripture and prayer. Being slow to speak means choosing deliberate, meaningful words that build rather than destroy. Emotional maturity means having emotions without letting them control us. To grow spiritually, we must clear out moral clutter and make room for God's work in our lives.
