SALVATION

It starts with jesus

BY GRACE, THROUGH FAITH IN JESUS'S DEATH & RESURRECTION, WE ARE FORGIVEN OF SIN + SET RIGHT WITH GOD.

JOHN 3:16 NIV | For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,
that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

God so loves you. And because of that, Jesus came to give you the life that you were made to live. Are you ready to take the first step?

WHY DO I NEED SAVED?

We believe that humanity, though created good, disobeyed God.

In so doing, humanity fell from perfection into a sinful state and subjected the world to brokenness and death. All people are inclined to sin and do sin when capable of moral choice.

This separates us from God and leaves us spiritually lifeless.

WHAT DID JESUS DO?

God, in His love, sent Jesus to restore us to life.

Perfect and sinless himself, Jesus died on a cross in our place to pay our debt in full.

He was buried, then raised to life.

HOW AM I SAVED?

Unable to save ourselves, we are forgiven and reconciled with God by His grace through repentant faith in what Jesus has done.

When we repent, believe in Jesus, and confess Him as Lord, we receive forgiveness, new life, and eternal salvation (Romans 10:9-10, John 3:16).

We cannot earn this; it is a gift from God to all who trust in Him.

The Bible says that "If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." (Rom. 10:9 NIV). It really is that simple! If you would like to take this step, we invite you to pray, using these words or your own:

God, I know that I have sinned, and that sin separates me from you. Today I want to be forgiven and set right with you. I believe that Jesus died on a cross to pay the price of my sins and that you raised Him to life again. I ask you to save me, be Lord of my life, and lead me in the right way to live. I ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.

frequently asked questions

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO REPENT?
Repentance is a change of heart and mind that brings us closer to God. It involves turning away from sin and turning to God for forgiveness.

ACTS 3:19 NIV | Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BELIEVE?
Believing that Jesus died and rose again for you means placing your faith in the core message of the gospel: that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, willingly sacrificed His life to pay the penalty for your sins, and that His resurrection signifies victory over sin and death.

ROMANS 10:9 NIV | If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

CAN I EARN SALVATION?
The Bible teaches that salvation is not something we can earn; it is a gift made possible through Jesus’s finished work on the cross.

EPHESIANS 2:8-9 NIV | For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.
CAN I LOSE SALVATION?
The Bible is clear that salvation is a gift God gives to us. We do not earn it by what we do; it was earned by what Jesus did and is given freely to us when we put our faith in him (Rom. 3:24, Eph. 2:8-9, Titus 3:5). The work of salvation is God's, and scripture assures us that "he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." (Philippians 1:6 NIV). In other words, God is both the source and security of our salvation. This is why Jesus is called the "pioneer and perfecter of our faith" (Heb. 12:2 NIV). He is the one who starts it and who sees it through.

Likewise, Jesus speaks to the assurance of salvation when he says, "I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand." (John 10:28-29 NIV).
