DISCIPLESHIP

MATTHEW 28:18-20 NIV | Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Discipleship is all about following Jesus, growing in your faith, and helping others to do the same. It means learning from what Jesus taught, becoming more like Him in how we think, act, and treat others, and then sharing that with others to help them grow as well. This is essential for living out the teachings of Jesus in everyday life. It helps us mature spiritually, serve others, and spread the Good News of Jesus! Through discipleship, we are equipped, encouraged, and held accountable to live according to God's will.

hOW WE DO DISCIPLESHIP

At Christ Chapel, we believe that discipleship is an ongoing journey that happens in several ways: Salvation, Baptism, Seek, Connect, Give/Serve, and Share. Walking through these steps helps us to mature spiritually, serve others, and spread the love of Christ.

Whether you are just starting your journey or have been walking with Jesus for years, there's a place for you. Take your next step today. 

SALVATION
The first step in discipleship is accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Salvation is the foundation of our faith journey, where we are made new in Christ.
BAPTISM
Baptism is the next step after making the decision to follow Jesus. It is a powerful outward expression of your new identity in Christ. It publicly declares that you are part of the body of believers and have committed your life to Jesus.
SEEK
We encourage you to seek God daily through prayer, worship, and reading the Bible. This is where your relationship with God deepens, and you grow in your understanding of His will for your life.
CONNECT
Building community is essential to discipleship. We encourage you to connect with fellow believers through small groups, Bible studies, and other church events.
GIVE/SERVE
Discipleship is about more than just learning; it’s about living out your faith. We provide numerous opportunities to give of your time, talents, and resources. Serving others—both within the church and in the community—is an essential part of discipleship.
SHARE
An important part of discipleship is sharing the love of Jesus with others. We encourage you to be unashamed and bold in sharing your faith.
